Friability testing is an accepted standard throughout the pharmaceutical industry for determining the resistance of uncoated tablets to the abrasion and shock experienced in manufacturing, packaging and shipping operations. All friability testers are simple to operate and fully comply with the specifications as laid down in EP, Chapter 2.9.7 and USP Chapter <1216>.
